I want to start by saying that I had previously stopped by Outlier, and although the food was of a high standard, I can't say the same about the service. My treatment during my earlier visit was similar to that of the way someone would attempt to remove a chunk of dog excrement from one's pair of trainers while on a walk. However, Outlier fully redeemed themselves upon my return on this occasion. I opted for the fried chicken sandwich today, which features lime pickle mayo, sumac red onion, mango hot sauce and coriander. Before eating the sandwich, I had yet to eat all morning and was anticipating something great. My expectations were met! While eating this sandwich, I was in a total state of zen. It flowed like a meandering stream rolling through some mystique highland glen, and I was the only spectator who could enjoy the enchanting scenery. The components worked so well together! Like the clogs of a fine Swiss watch, their cooperation was similar to the Barcelona squad of ''08-'12 (a force to be reckoned with). Honestly, I don't know what sumac is, but its presence was more than welcome. I know coriander is a divisive ingredient for some, but I enjoyed the slight taste of fairy liquid. The real workhorse in this team was the fried chicken; it's rare that you actually feel healthy after consuming deep-fried goods, yet this was the outlier to this sequence. A crispy, juicy slab of excellence! Outlier have indeed struck it out of the park and won me over. I'll give this sandwich a 4.5/5. The bar has been set very high, and I'm worried all other sandwiches will now face the same outcome as Icarus.
